Day 1: San Fransico

We weren't planning a trip. The trip happened on us one day, or rather 2  free plane tickets happened upon us. 2 plane tickets with an expiration date of October 20, 2011. Only 1 week to plan something, school and work to plan around. Of course  I found a baby sitter for Bristol and we could have gone anywhere. We didn't want to go to far thought because we wanted to make the most of our time away and not spend it in an airport and airplanes.  I really wanted to bring Bristol though, after all, she can only fly free for so long.  I knew we would not be renting a car which meant public transit. I kept thinking in my mind, "buses+baby+a city I have never been to= disaster".

I couldn't stand the thought of leaving Bristol out of an adventure though, besides she loves people and loves to be outside. The night before we left I cancelled the babysitter and decided she would be coming with us! I am so glad we did, she was SO happy the whole time.

 Did you know there is a fort beneath the Golden Gate Bridge? We had no clue. It was worth visiting!
