HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY GIRL!
This is a picture of Bristol and I, on my phone, at the hospital, the day she was born. What a miracle this little girl has been in our lives. Here she is today:
Because of Bristol, I have learned to love so much that if hurts. Seriously. I just have so much love for this little cutie.
Nothing could have ever prepared us for what happened in the last year. I thought I knew so much about babies, I did, but there was so much more to learn. There is still so much to learn. I am so thankful that we were sent a baby so we could grow into parents as she grows into a little person.
Some days I think to myself, "it shouldn't be this hard," but then I think "anything worth having is worth working for."
I don't know if I was the only person surprised at how all consuming raising a child can be but, holy smokes! There are so many things to think about!
She is the sweetest thing ever and I have no idea what I ever did with out her. She has the cutest raspy voice and giggles, laughs and smiles all the time. She is so fun and interactive with everyone. This girl is also fearless! She does not mind getting shots, in fact, she had her blood drawn a few weeks ago from her arm and she didn't even flinch! I could not believe it, not even a tear, I think after the 2nd vile she was bored and looked at me as if to say, "am I done yet?" Oh, this girl!
Thank you Heavenly Father for sending us our precious Bristol, WE LOVE HER!
She is learning and growing so much so fast!
These are the things she can do/loves:
1. fold her arms on command, as well as on her own. Sometimes I catch her saying little "prayers" when no one is around. (She started doing this without prompting and we have been reinforcing it, it makes us feel like we are doing a good job :))
2. When you ask her how old she is she holds up one finger and says "two". Haha
3. She claps and rolls her arms when anyone sings pat-a-cake.
4. WALKS!!! She started the day before her 10 month birthday. She is so fast now! It is so hard to keep her from the stairs which she thinks she is big enough to walk down. Scary! The crawling days are officially over.
5. She eats anything in sight. Last week she ate half of a green chile burrito. Yes, HALF of it!
6. She loves to pretend she is shy.
7. She says 12 words: dada, ma, papa, love, uh-oh, eh-oh(hello),DUH(duck), ti-ti(stinky), Tay-Tay(uncle Taylor), numnum(food), na-na (banana), nuh-nuh(drink)
8.She has 6 teeth...FINALLY!
9. She sleeps though the night, again...finally!!!!!
10. LOVES BATH TIME.
11. Jabbers all the time, and uses everything as a phone.
12. Loves peek-a-boo
13. She gives really good french kisses (watch out boys!) ;)
