Oquirrh Mountain Temple

We did end up finding it eventually. It was a very beautiful day and since the open house was not available this day, there was not a soul to be seen on the grounds, except the security people of course.
This mountain is up on a hill so once you get up there, you can see the Draper Temple, and Jordan River Temple as well. It was lovely. In the pictures the Oquirrh looks grey like a lot of temples, it is actually this really nice peachy grey color. I have never seen that type of granite before.

If you didn't know, the Angel Moroni was struck by lightning and his arm and trumpet is burnt. Very interesting. Taylor asked why Heavenly Father would strike his own temple. Who knows. Probably because it is the highest point within a 10 mile radius...? Just a guess though.
