Have you ever been on a train? We hadn't! We highly recommend this one. It was an all day event. 3.5hours to Silverton, Lunch and shopping for trinkets for a few hours, 3.5 hours back. The terrain is beautiful. There are trees and lushness everywhere. It was more like a dream than reality...OK people lets remember where I was born and raised...ARIOZONA! Trees and grass are like a dream.
The Animas River. The train pretty much follows it all the way. There were tons of people (crazy people) kayaking and boating...in the freezing water... we were all wearing sweaters...and we were on a train, not in the water. Like I said, Crazy People!
